About this Experience

Interviewing stakeholders to understand how their system works is the starting point of a risk assessment. You are trying to identify potential issues that they haven’t thought about! A successful security analyst knows how to ask questions to spot discrepancies and inconsistencies—signaling areas for further research. Your abilities to listen intently to the client to understand what they do and how it translates to security risks can be honed with practice.

What You Will Do

In this Skills Challenge, you will learn how to interview a client to inform your approach to addressing their security needsIn this Skills Challenge you'll sit in the role of a cybersecurity analyst performing a risk assessment for a client. You will conduct a stakeholder interview focused on discovering system vulnerabilities and identifying the highest priority security risks.
